A good place to start out looking for information is the IMDb, which will often have links to articles on line about films. The links will be accessible from the column of stuff on the left hand of the IMDb page. Since JOURNEY is a babyboomer era movie, there's actually a lot of reviews and behind the scenes articles hither and yon.

Another trick is to use a search engine like Google (or whatever) and type in, for example, "Journey to the 7th Planet" and the word "dubbed." That will narrow the search down and you'll find places that deal with both the film in general and the specifics of the audio track.

The film was shot in a dinky little studio in Sweden and, yeah, it really does look limited. They're never done a sci fi film there, and this was apparently a big deal, to them, anyway. Since they had their eye on US markets and were funded by American International, the Swedish cast spoke English (I'm pretty sure), but as in the same producer's REPTILICUS, they spoke in such a stilted, precise, characteristically sing-song manner that there was no way the sound track was usable. American audiences would've laughed it off the screen. (OK, I may be confusing the details of this & REPTILICUS, but you get the idea.)

Also, Greta Thyssen kept trying to upstage John Agar by playing her scenes with her back to a wall, so he would have to turn to face her to do his lines-- which would mean he'd be turning away from camera and she'd be facing it. He got annoyed and wouldn't let her get away with it.
