My mom took me to see this when it came to the theater (my poor mom - she really had to endure some awful stuff before I was able to drive myself).
I don't remember much from this (haven't seen it since) - but I do remember liking it. Slow moving maybe, but it had a few good scares and I thought the monster was pretty good. At the time, this movie made me jump more than any other movie besides Jaws.
From what I've read, Slithis is just god-awful - but for some reason, I have a soft spot for it. Maybe it's because it was one of the last good old-fashioned, guy-in-a-suit monster movies.
I was also very excited about the Slithis Survival Kit. I've read elsewhere on the web that people got these at the theater. But if I'm remembering correctly, I had to fill out a card and order mine via mail. It came with an 8x10 photo of the creature with crew members. It also came with a barf bag and (I think) an official Slithis Fan Club membership card. I believe I still have the photo somewhere.
Anyone else remember the details on the Survival Kit?
