Lots of material in Randy Palmer's PAUL BLAISDELL book (natch -- I bet you already saw that); there was an interview with the writer-producer in FILMFAX; take a look at the remake THE EYE CREATURES; if you have access to old newspapers and mags via the Internet, read some of the fun late-1950s interviews with Nicholson and Arkoff talking about their monster movies and teen audiences in general .... that's about all the suggestions I can make, off the top of my head. Apr 18 11 3:37 PM Reply Quote More My Recent Posts	BTW: Don't have any info on Steven Terrell, if he's still alive or not but as far as I've been able to find, Gloria Castillo died in 1978 and Frank Gorshin died in 2005. Terrell and Gorshin both appeared in AIP films RUNAWAY DAUGHTERS and DRAGSTRIP GIRL before making INVASION. While pressbook articles are not always 100% accurate, here is the articles on Steven Terrell and Gloria Castillo from SAUCER-MEN: STEVE TERRELL: Though still virtually a youngster, Steve Terrell is a veteran of motion pictures and television. After years of appearing in the popular "Life with Father" series, he starred in many big television shows and was then signed by MGM for a featured role in "Tea And Sympathy". American-International then put him under a five year contract and his first picture for the company was a featured role in "Runaway Daughters". Reaction from audiences and theater men resulted in Steve being starred in American-International's "Dragstrip Girl" and "Invasion Of The Saucer Men", one of the most unusual science-fiction stories ever brought to the screen. (Steve's last TV or movie appearances were on Ozzie and Harriet's TV series in 1962-1963.) GLORIA CASTILLO: Brilliant young actress discovered by Charles Laughton and featured in Paul Gregory's "Night Of the Hunter", after which she appeared in such plays as "Gigi" and "The Chalk Garden" on the stage. Co-starred by American International in "Runaway Daughters", exhibitor and public acclaim for the pretty brunette actress was such that she was signed to co-star with Steve Terrell in "Invasion Of The Saucer Men", thrill-packed supernatural science-fiction picture. Since then she is starring in American-International's drama "Girl's Reform School", and Hollywood predicts a great future for this new star. (BTW: "Girl's Reform School" turned out to be Reform School Girls". Gloria also appeared in "Teenage Monster" ---aka "Meteor Monster"---along with Anne Gwynne in 1958. Gloria was born March 3, 1935 in Los Angeles. According to her son Joshua's bio, his mother died when he was 15; since he was born in 1963, that makes it 1978.) She was married to Ellis Kadison. Apr 18 11 5:47 PM Reply Quote More My Recent Posts	INVASION OF THE SAUCER MEN is not listed in the index for Sam Arkoff's book. Of course, you couldn't take anything Sam said seriously anyway. Mark McGee has a paragraph or two in his Faster and Furiouser, not much but interesting. He might actually have a little more on THE EYE CREATURES than on SAUCERMEN.

They should use the same designs and make the film as frightening as I thought the publicity stills were when I was 7, and drop the comedy elements.

In looking over this thread, I notice mention that the late Gloria Castillo (so wonderful & touching in NIGHT OF THE HUNTER) was married to one Ellis Kadison -- who, I recall, was listed as co-writer of the 1966 Chris Lee vehicle THEATRE OF DEATH. I suspect the American director of that film, Sam (Give 'em Hell Harry) Gallu, came to the UK production with an original U.S. screenplay by Kadison which was later modified by the prolific British film/TV writer Roger Marshall.
