If only the Saucer Man had led as much of a charmed life when it came to bulls as the little boy in "Song." On the other hand, I'm against any character who would take Frank Gorshin out of a movie halfway through it. So maybe they got what they deserved.

I've never seen color pictures of the Blaisdell creatures. I was wondering why he painted them with such vivid colors since they were in a black/white movie????

Jun 15 10 9:47 PM Reply Quote More My Recent Posts	I am amazed that some creative genius hasn't made a sequel to the film and USE THE SAME SAUCER MEN but with today's makeup and efx techniques....maybe another expedition of the little guys shows up searching for their lost buddies from the 50s. The events of the first film could be referred to or recapped in an intro. Are any of the stars still with us? This concept is one I would apply to many classic 50s flicks that were one-offs. Why don't they make some sequels/followups instead of "remakes"?

I think he is one of those guys like O'brien who was misused and abused by Hollywood. Who knows what he could have done with bigger budgets and a higher commitment to better effects. Jun 15 10 11:50 PM Reply Quote More My Recent Posts	I was saddened to see that Lyn Osborn died just a little over a year after this was released. Though he died in 1958 his last film, PARADISE ALLEY, wasn't released until 1962. It was directed by, starring, written by, etc Hugo Haas. Haas is one of those guys we never talk about in these here parts. And we should because, even though not genre, it was amazing he got so many movies off the ground. Sort of Ed Wood a couple of rungs up the ladder.

Jun 16 10 12:30 AM Reply Quote More My Recent Posts	Hugo Haas is a fascinating character all right. Just as the quality of his films is a little better than Wood's, the kink factor is a little less. But it's still there. Many of Haas' films tread some pretty sleazy territory for studio-released '50's stuff. I think the only one of his films with any genre content is BAIT which, if memory serves, features an appearance from the devil.
