He then says "Blow up!" between gun shots. That dialog has always been there. Just noticed I mispelt the Chief's name too. It's funny how the mind plays tricks on you, Thanks for coming back so quickly. Russ

Lunk ~ Yes, sorry, the 30th Anniversary DVD gives you the audio option of the original award-winning mono soundtrack we all know and love. The 25th Anniversary DVD only has the new soundtrack, which as discussed, features new sound effects and the like (one that really bothers me is the sound of the whale after Quint's Indianapolis speech; totally different on the new soundtrack than it was in the original). When I watch JAWS, I only watch the 30th Anniversary DVD set to the original mono soundtrack. I'm assuming the Blu-ray will feature this as well, as fans have made it very clear that this is what they prefer. Mar 10 11 10:13 AM Reply Quote More My Recent Posts	Thanks, Rak. I'll pick up the 30th Anniversary DVD then at some point. A friend had given me the 25th Anniversary version about a year ago. I've only watched it once or twice, but in the back of my mind, the audio seemed different. Just curious, was the original soundtrack of the film always in mono even when it played first run? I was thinking that by '75, a lot of films were playing with stereo soundtracks. Either way, I definitely want that original soundtrack. Thanks again.

I found CE3K a colossal bore. The clips of ET I've seen make it seem very twee and cute but I'm probably wrong. Any other suggestions for ones I should check out? Just remembered, I enjoyed 1941. I recently attempted a non-biased viewing of the movie after having not seen it in many years. It sure doesn't hold up. But up until that point, Spielberg could do no wrong. Even 1941 has some neat things in it.

You might like Munich if you like his more serious films. I saw ET as a child and enjoyed it at the time, but that kind of sugary, sentimental, cute kind of film just wouldn't be for me anymore, so I would say you're probably judging the movie accurately according to how you think you'd find it.
