Oddly enough, that stegosaurus story in the "Do you remember the first novel you read?" thread made me think of a TV production. It was about a little boy who raises a triceratops (I'm PRETTY sure a triceratops) from an egg. It didn't seem to have dialogue, but was narrated by Johnny Carson (!). I seem to remember it not having animation (not even BAD animation), but instead simply showed these model dinosaurs of different sizes (as it grew) and left the rest to your imagination. It came on in 1967 or ' 68. I always remember that because it came on one Saturday morning on NBC (or at least my NBC station) and pre-empted The Banana Splits, which I resented at first - who wouldn't? (Since I've had some degree of insomnia since very early on, I knew perfectly well who Johnny Carson was!) Does anyone know the title of it? If not, maybe IMDB could help.
