Oct 29 10 1:09 PM Reply Quote More My Recent Posts	I just picked up a set each of Creature from the Black Lagoon and The Wolf Man mini-mates. They're really cool. I was also able to pick up the full scale figure of The Creature terrorizing Julie Adams. I like the figures but the Creature is a little too metallic green for my taste. As an added bonus I was able to pick up The Mummy in his sarcophagus. I am very impressed with this one. The Mummy is a very good likeness of Karloff. The sarcophagus is big and heavy with the likeness of Karloff on the front. Some really nice purchases. "What is the Law!"

Dec 13 10 12:53 PM Reply Quote More My Recent Posts	Just picked up the Frankie with real clothing (last one in stock) at Toy's R Us for $19.95. Definitely has a Glenn Strange look. The Creature and The Mummy in the sarcophagus were long gone, but the standing Mummy and black and white Wolfman were still available.

Jan 18 11 7:07 PM Reply Quote More My Recent Posts	The Mummy figure, itself, is actually quite a nice piece; never the less, I did try to customize it a bit. First of all, I didn’t like the fact that this Mummy shared its bowlegged stance with the regular figure. So I corrected that and tried to weather the figure a bit, changing its ashen complexion to a more amber appearance. Sadly, upon close inspection, the sarcophagus lid isn’t a very good representation of the one used in the film. Currently, I only changed the eyes to make them more Egyptian looking, but I may still do a major overhaul of the cover. Of course, the finishing touch is the mini-me version of the Scroll of Thoth. I have not yet seen the Creature figure anywhere and the Mini-mates don’t really interest me.

Oct 3 11 4:45 PM Reply Quote More My Recent Posts	Wave 2 of the action figures: Dracula, Frankenstein, and Bride of Frankenstein are scheduled for release between 9/28 and 10/05 on their website. However Toys R' Us shows all three already in stock. However they are only in stock for shipping for internet orders. My brother had the manager look up the SKUs and he said that currently the only stores that have them on the shelf are some lucky ones in California. He said none of the other stores have expected shipping dates to stock their stores and that they may not get them at all. However any store can order them to be shipped to the store (which waves the shipping price of an on-line order) where you can pick them up. Last Edited By: Werewolf235 Oct 3 11 4:51 PM. Oct 16 11 2:14 PM Reply Quote More My Recent Posts	Of the two different Frankies (not counting the clothed one), one is labeled "select" and sometimes "deluxe" and comes with the table. What's the difference in the specific figures between the two. It looks like the deluxe is looking downwards a bit. Is that the only difference?

Did see the stuffed Frank & Drac (I think that's what was there, might've been Mummy tho), and the MiniMates are being closed out. The Rick Baker Wolfman was still around too until recently, and there's a ton of rubber Godzilla characters.

Yeah, I saw all three of these today at ToysRUs, and you're right about Drac (a little Sculpy might help, in the profile department; lose the fangs, change the hairline, and ..... you're maybe halfway there!). The Frank looks like Karloff, and The Bride is really good too. Saw the Funko cloth Drac, Frank and Mummy -- both small and large versions. The MiniMate packs are cute -- Frank/Henry, Drac/Van Helsing, and Bride/Villager -- that one sporting a ToysRUs Exclusive sticker. And there's also a new Retro Mego-inspired set of 'dolls' -- Dracula and The Mummy. Stylized faces (kinda Bela & Boris, though), jointed figures, cloth costumes, the whole bit. Pretty neat, actually. Imhotep even has the scarab ring.

The Diamond Select set had ToysRUs Exclusive stickers on all of them (as seen in Werewolf235's pix), so does that mean comic shops ordering from Diamond get an alternate version?

The comic shop versions of Dracula and Frankenstein are different than the TRU figures. The Dracula comes with a wolf and the Frankenstein Monster has a lab table (as well as a marginally better paint scheme). The Bride is only available at TRU. The last time I checked, the TRU website had all the new Diamond Select Universal Monsters merchandise in stock. I ordered the Bride and got it in a few days...it was easier than going from store to store. Actually, I gave up after I couldn't find anything in the first Toys R Us I went to...I'm not much of a hunter (if my tribe was waiting for me to bring back dead animal meat, they'd all starve).
