Any chance that approach might have been somewhat inspired/influenced by the Shadow, who had hosted tales before starring in them? (But, in this case, reversing the sequence of events since Batman was already fighting crime.)

I forgot the Superman radio show changed the theme music from what it had been in the earliest episodes. On "Batman's Great Mystery" we hear a rendition of the Superman theme heard in the Paramount cartoons. Did the radio show use the theme first and the Fleischers decided to make use of it, or did the radio show simply adopt the theme from the Fleischer/Famous cartoons?

Jul 27 12 11:57 AM Reply Quote More My Recent Posts	Thanks, Batman. That was my first guess but, since I've only heard a handful of episodes here and there, wasn't able to pinpoint when the theme used on the BGM episodes was first adopted.
