Dec 5 10 11:57 AM Reply Quote More My Recent Posts	Just watched it last night. I like the look of the wolf man, but not crazy about the rest. WAY too violent for me. He just kinda killed for the sake of killing. Didn't seem to be any rhyme or reason. Didn't drink any blood or eat any flesh. I'd swear some of the music was the same as the 2005 KONG remake. I didn't like the setting. They should have had it set at least in the 40s. Emotionally, everyone was on the same level. Everyone had this "mysterioso" look about them. Would have been nice to show Talbot go from happy go lucky to a horrified nervous wreck as in the original. Maleva was underplayed. Almost had no point for her, other than the fact the she apparently knows emergency field surgery. And, yes, lots of cliches. I think it would have been more effective if he talked to Gwen at the end while still in (at least partial) wolf form as in WEREWOLF OF LONDON. Nice little cameo by Rick Baker. So...that's all I have to say about that...

The father/son nonsense at the conclusion was the crappiest of cop outs. Just another Hollywood missed opportunity thrown in the gutter.. "You can't smell any reefer, can you"?

Dec 5 10 7:16 PM Reply Quote More My Recent Posts	The violence didn't really make sense, to me. In the original, he seemed to make a kill, drink the blood, then go home. This was just random slashing and body parts flying. Not only didn't I like the father/son thing, but they actually revealed it a little too early and without much fanfare. If they were going to do the father/son connection, then I would have had Larry's lycanthopy be due to genetics, rather than being bitten. What are the chances of two family members being bitten by werewolves many years apart in different areas of the world?

If they toned that stuff down, reworked part of the script, the studio could've had a classic. "Lord I love Spring! The birds, the fair weather, the new flowers. It doesn't get any better than this. Dec 11 10 10:14 PM Reply Quote More My Recent Posts	When you have as many directors being fired, with as many cuts and push backs as this film had. Of course it's going to be crap. There was nothing redeeming about the picture. The story lacked so much depth to it, the back story was laughably bad. People were texting in the theater and I didn't care. That's how bad I thought it was.
