kirkbyoung wrote:somebody posted this link on the imdb boards...it's dubbed in french, but it's still worth watching (and the first part is that clip we all saw this weekend)personally, seeing the wolfman in the city wasn't a good enough gauge for me; I needed to see a transformation scene (if even in the dark) and a bit of woods, but most importantly, I wanted to get a taste of how he behaves when he meets a human being up close and personal. needless to say, this led me to be very pleased with this clip, and incredibly excited for more...http://www.lyricis.fr/cinema-serie-tv/wolfman-un-long-extrait-de-la-bete-en-francais/

That damn werewolf kept knocking me down over and over. Is that any way to treat an old man?

SteveZodiak wrote:hey Rick, if you don't mind me asking, how did they do your scene? Where you actually tackled or is that a CGI of you? Is the Wolfman a stunt-man in that scene or is he CGI and you were pulled by a bungee, knowing how these things were done has always intrigued me. I've been wanting to ask the exact same question.

Were you also responsible for the victims and character make-up also? As a fan- thanks for your contribution to this movie. The Universal Classics are by far my favorites, and Chaney, Jr. in The Wolfman is my favorite character in film, period- I have the tattoo to prove it. I am 30, so I like the 80's FX films, a golden age of FX in it's own right; you guys know what I'm talking about. This looks like it could be the best of both worlds.

This looks like it could be the best of both worlds. My main contribution was the wolfman make up. Because the film was done in England with an English crew I partnered with my friend Dave Elsey who not only helped with the wolfman make up but also headed up the blood and guts department. When we came back for reshoots some new blood and guts were handled by Neil Gordon. Dave and I were just way too busy and had no time in the reshoots to concentrate on anything but the wolfman shots. Neil also did what everyone is referring to the Gollum make up. Don't ask. The transformations were done by the CG guys headed up by Steve Begg, utilizing some of my ideas and designs but with a lot of their own input.I am really curious to hear what everyone thinks about the movie.
