Dec 28 06 5:01 AM Reply Quote More My Recent Posts	Are there any updates about the upcoming Benecio del Toro remake of The Wolf Man? The imdb shows that the film is currently in pre-production and that del Toro is one of the producers. I thought I'd heard that The Wolf Man was going to begin shooting by February, 2007. By the way, if you haven't read the story synopsis and would like to there's an article at the Sideshow Toys site under the Vintage Horror link. I looked at it again the other night but you will have to search into past posts under Vintage Horror to find it. The story sounds pretty good! Last Edited By: taraco Feb 7 10 11:28 PM. Apr 17 07 12:24 PM Reply Quote More My Recent Posts	How about this? According to CinemaBlend, Anthony Hopkins is in talks to join the upcoming film, Wolfman. He would join Benicio Del Toro in the cast of the film. In the film, to be directed by Mark Romanek, a man who returns from the U.S. to his ancestral home in Victorian-era Great Britain, gets bitten by a werewolf and begins a hairy moonlight existence. The script was written by Andrew Kevin Walker and shooting is expected to begin this Fall.

Apr 17 07 11:37 PM Reply Quote More My Recent Posts	I could buy Del Toro and Hopkins as son and father. Just include a brief scene where Larry and Sir John look up at a portrait of Larry's mother. If she has a dark Spanish look the job is done. And, I think Hopkins would be a great addition to this project!

Apr 19 07 5:24 AM Reply Quote More My Recent Posts	I don't know how much of the swordplay was Hopkins, but apparently he ended up doing all his own whipwork- suprised everyone (including himself) by having a flair for it!( And am I the only one who, upon first seeing him in the film- smiling rogueishly from under a hood- thought he looked STARTLINGLY like Douglas Fairbanks?)

I don't think the swing over the crowd was Hopkins, but I believe he did all of the swordplay. Probably gives us an indication of what his fencing skills were in his stage days doing Shakespeare.

I wasn't about to say that I was amazed that Hopkins was able to look so good in the fencing scenes considering his age. Of course I know that a stuntman performed the swing over the crowd. And, would have whether Hopkins was 60 or 20.

May 3 07 1:36 PM Reply Quote More My Recent Posts	I don't know, Joe---I've read comments on the script and it sounds pretty doggone good to me. And it does not sound like a straight remake. There are points in the script that vary from the original. And, if they manage to do as good a job with this as Peter Jackson did with Kong I think we'll all be pretty pleased. The thing I liked the most about what I read is that the story is going to be set in the Victorian era. And the addition of Hopkins certainly gives it a boost in my book!

I know a lot of Kong diehards were displeased with it, but I thought it was an incredible movie. So, are you a diehard fan of the 1933 Kong or the 1976 version? * * Yep, now I'm pulling your leg.
