So far, I still have all my monster movie magazines, my comics and my Mads, in a box, along with my trading cards. I have a few key toys. I "played gently" with some of these things, and wore others to a frazzle. But I still hang on to them for the "touchstone" value seeing these old things once in a while has for me.
My question is, do most of you still have the treasures and trinkets of your youth? Are there any stories regarding the loss of those items, or their rescue at some point, that you'd care to share?
(When moving a decade ago, I noted that I couldn't find a bag that held my Creeple Peeple and Thingmaker sets. I looked through a mound of garbage bags that were ready for the curb for about three hours tryng to locate them. Dejectedly, I gave up, and moved on. Months later, I found them in storage, under other things. Whew.)
