I also explained why Larry Talbot's "cure" didn't work by having him attacked and--again- bitten by another werewolf. This time it was from one of his former victims. Martin

Trivia: I remember a HONEYMOONERS episode that aired after the "Classic 39" (but not on any DVD or VHS set) wherein Norton says he's going to the movies to see "SON OF THE WOLF MAN starring Lon Chaney, Jr." And for a while, at the time (and when I still believed that the Lon of those Universal talkies was really Sr.), I thought there really was such a movie. Around the same time some satire mag -- MAD or CRACKED or whatever -- mentioned ABBOTT AND COSTELLO MEET THE WOLF MAN, and I thought that title also might be real. These were the days before FM, so it wasn't easy trying to figure out what movies were actually made and what order they may have come out. Don

The trailer itself was more entertaining than Van Helsing was.

To the best of my knowledge no, it appears that they are trying to make a "classic" Universal Horror film as best they can in modern times.
