Truly inspiring. Anyway, I'm not sure this belongs in this topic. Forgive me if it needs to be moved to Coming Soon or Independent Films, but does anyone know anything about "House Of The Wolf Man"? This was poted to nukethefridge.com last night: http://www.nukethefridge.com/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=1998:look-a-real-wolf-man-movie&catid=10:news&Itemid=39 If you remember back to the 1940's, Universal set out to make a series of sequels to their original monster movies. There was "House of Frankenstein" and "House of Dracula." But Universal never got around to making the third film in that series, "House of the Wolf Man." For the last several months there has been a new Wolf Man movie shooting in and around Los Angeles. What you might call a REAL "Wolf Man" movie! "Sick Girl," director Eben McGarr has written and directed his version of that film. McGarr's "House of The Wolf Man" is set to see its premiere later this fall. McGarr has shot the film to look exactly like a movie made in the 1940's era. It pays homage to those earlier classic movies. "House of the Wolf Man" was filmed in black and white and full frame. Nuke The Fridge was on set to see a number of scenes being filmed, including a battle between the Wolf Man and Frankenstein's Monster. This movie is intended to slip seamlessly in with the other two "House of" movies and with no gore, language, or sex, it should be for all members of the family. When was the last time you could take your kids to a horror film? It would be great to see Universal pick this movie up so fans of the classic Universal monster movies can complete the trilogy. The film stars Ron Chaney (grandson of the original "Wolf Man", Lon Chaney, Jr.) as the Wolf Man. The rest of the cast includes Dustin Fitzsimons, Jeremie Loncka, Sara Raftery, Cheryl Rodes, Jim Thalman, and John McGarr. We will have plenty more from this movie as it approaches its release date. But for now take a look at a number of photos of the cast from "House of the Wolf Man." Jul 18 09 7:46 PM Reply Quote More My Recent Posts	I always hoped someone would at least write the story that has to come between HOUSE OF DRACULA and ABBOTT AND COSTELLO MEET FRANKENSTEIN, explaining how Talbot has become the Wolf Man again, and why the Frankenstein Monster has become the slave of Dracula. I'm only one of many who felt the title had to be HOUSE OF THE WOLF MAN; someone I know--Fred Ray, maybe?--actually had a poster designed.

It shows Lon Jr. playing all the major horror characters in the movie. This probably won't be a surprise, but I have stored in the back of my head a series of yet-to-be-written novels that fill in all the gaps between all the Universal Frankenstein movies (including A&C), while also explaining away the continuity lapses at the same time. And, while we're talking about Lon, Jr. ... Most of you don't know that I've recently picked up a sideline occupation -- doing voice-over dubbing-into-English of feature-length Toei anime movies. Today I did movie #17 and tomorrow it will be #18, these two in the LUN LUN series. I always play multiple characters (because I can do lots of voices). In the LUN LUN films I play, among other charactersl, Lun Lun's dog Nouveau. He's a big, husky St. Bernard (or something similar). So the voice I gave him was ... Lon Chaney, Jr.'s doing a sort of modified Lennie. I suggested changing the title to LON LON, but the director didn't go for that. By the way, I tried getting Ron Chaney to play Dracula in THE EROTIC RITES OF COUNTESS DRACULA (to be reissued in 2011 under its original title SCARLET COUNTESS). But he declined because of the sex element. Don

Jul 19 09 7:23 AM Reply Quote More My Recent Posts	Y'know, I can kinda "buy" the title HOUSE OF FRANKENSTEIN (even though the only houses in the whole movie are the Hussman place and Dr. Niemann's) because Frankenstein is also the family name, it's not just the Monster. And HOUSE OF DRACULA doesn't bother me even though, again, the movie takes place in Dr. Edlemann's house. But HOUSE OF THE WOLF MAN? How'd he make the payments? Who'd sell a house to the Wolf Man? It's ... like ... half a step above HOUSE OF THE BLOB. "House" + certain monsters = "Huh??"

I always took the "House" thing as a "who's pulling the strings" kinda thing. With HOF, although the good Doctor isn't around, the primary goal of the movie is restoring the Monster, and in HOD, the infiltration and infection by Dracula is key. Just a thought.

Jul 19 09 11:36 AM Reply Quote More My Recent Posts	Drac and Wolfie look good, but Frankie doesn't seem to fit in with the original Universal concept . To truly fit seamlessly into a "trilogy", Frank would have to look a helluvah lot more like the classic Glenn Strange monster. I've seen several recreations of the Strange version that looked almost dead on so I know it can be done . It's a great idea, but if your going to say its seamless then it's got to"look" more like the original. The characters in A&C meet Frankenstein are a great example of an upgraded, but still basically the same look as the "House films .
