And there's always room before and after to sell toilet paper. No sympathy here for (supposed) film loving organizations that interrupt films, or for (supposed) tv series loving ones that crank the running speed up. SAG, AFTRA, the Studios, and the viewers should have struck at this shitte the first time it happened. Would people stand by for an Elvis album pitched fast by a Rock radio station, or Handel's MESSIAH interrupted every few minutes by hucksters, and cut short, on a Classical one? -Craig

However, when they go on too long, mess with the show, dominate the show, become the show such that you can't stand to watch it -- well, that's beyond dumb. They deserve to go down the drain.

In recent years watching channels like AMC and TV Land made me feel as if I'm watching commercials that are occasionally interrupted by movies and tv shows. Now I only watch PBS, Me-TV, Antenna TV and TCM. The moment Comcast takes away TCM, I'm cutting cable altogether.

I only watch TCM, Me-TV, and Encore Westerns (though I DVR The Three Stooges from IFC and LEAVE IT TO BEAVER from TV Land, but I just FF through the abundant ads). But those 3 channels are the only ones I watch consistently. If TCM ever streamed, I'd ditch cable as well.

Dec 18 12 9:09 PM Reply Quote More My Recent Posts	I was probably too hard on Sundance Channel. Another film I watched only had a three-minute commercial break at the 1-hour mark. It had uncensored dialogue as well. However, they did have a text ad for another of their shows onscreen throughout. That's far, far better than anything that AMC or USA would do, but also miles beneath TCM's service.
