Only one leads the bunch IMO (And this may also include a prejudice since my wife despises contemporary horror films but sat through this one, beginning to end and gave it her "Cindy nod of approval"): The Wolfman. Personally, I, alone, have seen most on the list and can't say any really turned my crank. My anachronistic nature has once again taken tight hold. Gimme the oldies!!!

Sep 7 12 12:35 AM Reply Quote More My Recent Posts	Ginger Snaps and The Descent are definitely two of my faves since 2000. The Foreign route I would say Battle Royale (although horror is questionable), Ju-On: The Grudge, and The Eye.

Nov 10 12 11:26 PM Reply Quote More My Recent Posts	I rarely see new movies anymore as there's still so many older genre films on DVD for me to spend my money on. That being said, I really love THE MIST; probably the scariest film I've ever seen. I also enjoyed CLOVERFIELD, in spite of its very untraditional structure.

Feb 15 13 8:19 PM Reply Quote More My Recent Posts	Here's my Top Ten list since 2000, in order of preference: #1 A Tale of Two Sisters #2 Dark Water (Original Japanese version) #3 The Orphanage #4 The Innkeepers #5 [rec] #6 Paranormal Activity #7 Sweeney Todd #8 House of the Devil #9 Let the Right One In #10 The Last Exorcism Other favorites: The Others, Dog Soldiers, The Descent, Frailty, Sheitan, Dead Snow, Saint Nick, TrollHunter, Home Movie Oldboy and Battle Royale would have definitely made the Top Ten if I could be sure that they're actually horror films.

Still surprised so many people don't seem to get its wit, dark comedy, intelligence and biting satire on a range of issues from unbridled capitalism to US foreign policy. 05/15/13 8:42 AM Reply Quote More My Recent Posts	I'll always happily stand up for the fun "Wrong Turn" (and never for any of its DTV sequels). When it comes to indies, "The Whisperer in Darkness".
