Oct 19 11 1:21 PM Reply Quote More My Recent Posts	Maybe "puppet" is a bit of an overstatement. If you watch the sequence, you note that there is a third cutaway to the Thing being electrocuted. First, we see Arness, then we see the little person actor, and then there was a final "puppet" which seemed to only have the action of "wilting away". It was pretty formless at that point, so a lot of folks miss it. (If your DVD player has a zoom feature, that might help) I can't really say if it was operated by hand, or if it was on strings.... Looking at it, it seems to me they might have simply had a "bag" of some sort inside it, and then allowed it to deflate somehow. Oct 29 11 8:31 PM Reply Quote More My Recent Posts	We just finished watching John Carpenter's original "Halloween" movie and I forgot how many times the 1951 "The Thing From Another World" is shown in this movie of the kids and Jamie Lee Curtis watching it on TV when she is baby sitting. There must be about 5 clips shown, plus you can hear it a lot as background noise when Michael Meyers is stalking around the house. Carpenter must have really loved the movie even back then before he did his remake of it to include so much of the 1951 movie in his classic slasher movie.... And, speaking of tying things up, seeing the rope around Kenneth Tobey made me think of his octopus co-star in It Came From Beneath The Sea. There is a thread that never ends. Yes, it goes on and on my friends. Some people started it not knowing that a tree can walk, And they'll keep posting forever about a movie they can mock...
