It will be accompanied by live orchestra and will simultaneously (that how you spell it?) be transmitted to an outdoor screen at the Brandenburg Gate (Free admission. If you can stand the cold...) and also to free tv channel "Arte", a French/German tv channel that specialises in "arty" stuff... Wish I had a digital recorder...

Feb 7 10 10:19 AM Reply Quote More My Recent Posts	I confirm that the completed METROPOLIS will be aired on ARTE in Germany and France on February 12 at 8.35 PM. The announced running time is 150mins. It's followed by a documentary (approx. 45mins) on the different, successive versions of the movie since its beginning, from Berlin to Paris, then Moscow to Buenos Aires. The best moviegoing experience I've ever had was Metropolis at 20 fps, with Dennis James on the Wurlitzer and the theremin. Wish that would be how it was presented on disc.

The music score has also been reconstructed and will be played by a live orchestra. This should really be one of the truly great events.
