Jun 15 10 5:18 PM Reply Quote More My Recent Posts	Just got this from Netflix and watched it this morning. After wading through all the negativity in this thread, put me down as a favorable response. Even knowing the Big Secret beforehand, and being put off by the erroneous comparisons with Blair Witch Project and Paranormal Activity, I really liked the way this film was presented. The split-screen structure didn't bother me at all; neither did the fairly quick videocam sequences (one of which provided a very good shock). My only complaint is that the story sorta petered out at the end, didn't finish with a blaze of glory or whatever. And I had a quibble about the insertion of a word -- "God" -- that didn't exist in the Sumerian cosmology because that culture wasn't monotheistic, and the so-called expert doing the translation should have known that. But damn, was it good to see two of my favorite character actors -- Will Patton and Elias Koteas -- receive a fair amount of supporting screen time. I have no problem at all with Milla Jovovich, either, liking her in the Resident Evil series, The Perfect Getaway, .45, and this. And the use of that owl was really nifty. I'll probably add this to my collection when a used copy becomes available. ... Reed

In fact, I learned some things from watching these bad movies. The good one did not appreciably enhance my life. I've never watched it again and likely won't.

I like Alien Abduction films and thought this was very creepy, scary and disturbing at times. Not sure if I'd have liked it as much paying $22. for my wife and I at the theater though. And I'm glad I didn't read any reviews, a friend of mine recommended it.

This movie is such a stinker we've spent 4 pages talking about what you guys think about good vs. bad movies... and really not much about this movie. Just watched this. Oh my. I feel like I was robbed. I knew nothing about this movie and thought the "documentary" parts were a hoax. I was also thinking, If this is real that lady is nuts and killed her husband and her daughter. I think I'm going to watch the remake of The Day the Earth Stood Still just to wash the taste out of my mouth.

I've seen 57 of the 100 and I can honestly say that I didn't like any of those 57. After considerable thought, I think ENVY would be the one I disliked the least. Still not good, though. I thought THE FOURTH KIND was pretty stupid and a waste of time. I do like pie, though.
