Dec 15 04 11:39 PM Burgomaster Reply Quote More My Recent Posts	We've seen colossal tarantulas, gargantuan grasshoppers, scaled-up scorpions, enormous ants, whale-sized wasps and even a mammoth moth (a behe-moth?). But Hollywood bypassed other arthropods that might have worked just as well as menaces of immense proportion. Personally, I would like to have seen giant centipedes make a mess of a large metropolitan area. I bet they coulda crawled up photos of buildings just as well as those grasshoppers did. Sure THE MONSTER THAT CHALLENGED THE WORLD looked more like a centipede than the mollusk it was supposed to be, but it just ain't the same. Dec 16 04 11:31 AM Reply Quote More My Recent Posts	Don't forget the big-ass dragonfly in MONSTER ON THE CAMPUS, a nightmare inducer when I was a puppy. porta, for giant scorpions, see THE BLACK SCORPION. I also had a nightmare once about a giant "walking stick" (I slept through science classes, so I have no idea what those bugs are REALLY called). Would've made a great movie.

Frankenstein gives me the shakes And Count Dracula's driving me batty But they're not on a par with the worst one by far The cockroach that ate Cincinnati Oh he must have needed a seltzer It's amazing how much he got down For lunch he'd just chew up a suburb or two And for dinner he at the whole town (burp!) Willard just sent me out laughing I thought Ben looked a little bit ratty But they're not half as bad As the worst scare I've had "The Cockroach That Ate Cincinnati" Oh my heart nearly stopped He will never be topped The cockroach that ate Cincinnati... Shot in black and white, it was about a giant ladybug that did nothing more than just sit around quietly munching on vegation, but the townspeople would react in terror, regardless. DOCTOR 13
