I'm glad these are becoming available but I'm not going to drop $50 for this set. My dvd-r & vhs tapes will do just fine until the price gets
reasonable.

I love each of these films, at least the ones I have seen before, and will likely spring for this set...but will kick myself a year from now when it later
get's a regular release to retail stores for $20.00.

I have all of them on bootleg DVD-Rs except for MAD GHOUL which I have on VHS but I would love to get them all on an official DVD release at a reasonable price.

I have a feeling that Movies Unlimited are not the "exclusive" store - why would Universal pick somewhere hardly anyone ever heard of?
I think it;s more like, Movies Unlimited will carry them - like they do the Warner Archives - even though they are not the "exclusive" carrier. I also think they have let this cat out of the bag way earlier than it was meant to be. I'll probably acquire the set, since at least they do shipo outsid eof the USA. |

Wow, I guess this is the coming Universal release we were hearing rumors about. I'm on the fence, $10 a movie isn't an outrage unless they turn around
and offer it up later for a lot less. If they were offered independent of each other I probably would only bite on ZOO and MAD GHOUL.
I'm pretty distraught that there is no ISLAND OF LOST SOULS in the mix, this is the second box of C-level Universal to omit an A-level Paramount that everyone wants. Seems hopeless for that one. |

MAN WHO RECLAIMED HIS HEAD coulda been the fifth but I don't know how that would have gone over in a "horror" set in 2009.I wonder how it went over as a 'horror film' in 1935. It's certainly not a great set, but could be fun. At the moment, I couldn't afford it even if it was $14.99. Hopefully by the time I do have some money, the price will have fallen to that level. Even if I did have the cash, I don't think I could justify $50 for this selection. |

Movies Unlimited is a very well known company, I wouldn't say hardly anyone has heard of them. I personally think that TCM is the "exclusive"
carrier which happens to use Movies Unlimited for the stocking/shipping/etc. end of it. Just a guess though. I am sure if this is the case, this set will get
plugged hard and heavy on TCM in October.
I certainly do wish it was cheaper (as I stated earlier) but will absolutely pick up the set! I'm gonna wait to place my order to see if the price drops in the next few weeks and the link actually lets you order. I am very happy with the movies chosen, STRANGE CASE OF DR. RX being the weakest of the bunch (IMO) but has an awesome gorilla sequence in it. Not much of a horror film however. |
