Quote:So there may have been a fatigue factor involved. But I doubt it. The film was bland, padded with overlong scenes and stagey sets. It was obviously a three-person show -- Rathbone, Rudley, and Tamiroff -- with the other Big Names given absolutely nothing in terms of script, characterization, or screen time. Still, Rathbone and Tamiroff chewed the scenery admirably, and the inclusion of Chaney, Carradine, Lugosi and Tor Johnson held a bit of (unfortunately unrealized) appeal. Given all the names, I came away surprised at the depth of its low budget. A real disappointment.
