Robert Kirkman's popular comic series about the struggles of survivors vs the living dead in a post zombie apocalypse world has been acquired for TV by
everyone's favorite cable network (haha) AMC. The network which turned away from classic 'uncut' film presentations to pursue the commercial market
with much gusto has had some recent success in original TV production with shows like MAD MEN and BREAKING BAD, starring former 'Malcolm in the Middle'
dad Bryan Cranston as a (dying) high school science teacher who makes crystal meth as a way to provide for his family. The development folks at AMC have
referred to THE WALKING DEAD as the biggest deal in development history and only time will tell how successful (an accurate to source) their final product will
be. For my part I wish them the best of luck.
