(08/04/09 7:22 PM) Reply Quote More My Recent Posts Message Me Connection Blocking Invite	Gary Clarke made 4 movies, in 1958, 1960, 1963 and 1964 in which he starred and which co-starred Steve Ihnat, usually as the villain of hte piece. Ihnat then went on to guest-star on a couple of episodes of The Virginian in which Clarke guest-starred. Ihnat and Clarke must have been friends, and I'm wondering if there's any literature out there in which he discusses Ihnat. I have a copy of Tom Weaver's book Earth vs the Sci Fi Filmmakers, but I've misplaced it. So I'm wondering if his interview with Clarke mentioned these early movies? Thanks for any help! I wish I was more interested in Ihnat, because lately it seems like my interviewees are constantly bringing him up, out of the blue -- from the writer of KINGDOM OF THE SPIDERS (they co-wrote a movie called THE HONKERS), to Peter Marshall of THE HOLLYWOOD SQUARES, to Susan Hart, whose husband James H. Nicholson of AIP paid to bring Ihnat's body home when he unexpectedly dropped dead at Cannes!

(11/03/09 8:51 PM) Reply Quote More My Recent Posts Message Me Connection Blocking Invite	I agree Ihnat was a fine actor--some particularly memorable TV guest roles. I distinctly remember Ed Asner accepting an Emmy and taking a moment to pay tribute to his late friend.
