My least favorite of my commentaries is QUEEN OF OUTER SPACE because Warner Bros. cut about a third of it -- they cut a lot of Laurie Mitchell's complaining about Zsa Zsa, and loads of other stuff their stupid lawyers said was too controversial and might get them in trouble. For instance, at one point I mentioned that Zsa Zsa's husband had been on O'REILLY the other night, claiming to be the father of Anna Nicole Smith's baby. Well, he WAS on that TV show making that claim. But no, it had to be cut, the husband might sue Warner Brothers for ... ummmm ... saying that he said something on TV which he did say. All their cuts were idiotic, and as a result, a lot of the commentary doesn't even make sense -- stories are joined "in progress" and the rest is not understandable, etc., etc. And yet, outside of THE WOLF MAN, that's the one I get the most compliments for. Eeeek.

In The Late '50s, Varese Records released re-recordings and actual soundtrack musicfrom horror and fantasy flicks called, "Themes from Classic Science Fiction, Fantasy and Horror Films" and isa terrific collection. It's still available on CD, so pick it up! We're lucky enough here that it was at a local library. One track on there is, "Visitors from Space" and is Jacobs' then-fresh take on the theme from "It Came fromOuter Space". His version has far more punch than the soundtrack version, and for whatever reason, thereare two versions of the song: one with theremin and one without. I prefer the theremin version, and for a listen,go to the "Horror Hosts" folder down below and check out the new "Creature Features" thread, and click on theCF intro video, it's on there. You'll hear what I mean once you compare it to the film's score.Tom: I don't think I've heard one of your commentaries, does the iMDb have an accurate list of your work?I'd love to check some out!
