Jun 27 09 1:03 PM More My Recent Posts	I want to nominate Morgus the Magnificent for the Hall of Fame. This is Morgus' 50th annoversary as a horror host - 50 YEARS! Amazing! Actor Sid Noel has portrayed the Mad Scientist in the New Orleans area all these years, and it would be perfect for him to be given a Rondo this year. He is also alive and well and hopefully could come pick up the award in person at the Louisville award ceremonies at Wonderfest. Morgus the Magnificent for Hall of Fame. http://www.morgus.com/ this is from his website: On January 3rd, 1959, the cameras first went on in the Old City Ice House, looking in on a young Momus Alexander Morgus as he toiled with his assistants, Chopsley and ERIC, on experiments designed to benefit mankind and make the world a better place in which to live. Since that humble beginning, the Doctor has been on and off the air several times for various reasons, but he's always rebounded, ready to lead the way for a skeptical scientific community destined to follow in his footsteps. Several generations of Students of Science have grown up under his tutelage, and can be found in all walks of life, citing his influence and inspiration. Jun 28 09 12:05 PM More My Recent Posts	With vast respect, Rob, I don't think Jack Pierce fits the criteria for Hall Of Fame, at least as I understand it. He IS deserving of a star on the Hollywood Walk Of Fame and should have received an Oscar. But the Rondo Hall Of Fame is more about people who contributed to fandom. This is why people like Rod Serling or Bela Lugosi haven't been inducted. Yes, they were fantastic talents and we were all inspired by their work, but they don't have a direct "Monster Kid" connection. Gary, am I correct here? He's a nationally known personality who kept the Drive In aesthetic alive for so long both with his entertaining and informative reviews and essays and as a television host for many years on The Movie Channel and TNT.

People tend to think of Joe Bob's comedy redneck persona, but his last few books are written out of character and show a deep knowledge and understanding of the history of exploitation cinema. Hes a sculptor and artist who has been dedicated to classic Monsters. Hes done masks,toys,museum work all based on his favourite characters. Jul 7 09 11:01 PM More My Recent Posts	I was rewatching Dead Alive today, and came across the scene with Forrey Ackerman in it - sitting on a park bench, reading a Scary Monsters Magazine. When the mother is bitten by the rat monkey, he turns to gape and you see a quick clear shot of the Dracula ring - priceless. Peter is a true monster-kid, and he even made sure to fly Bob and Kathy Burns out for a cameo in his King Kong remake. Awesome. Peter Jackson for the Hall of Fame
