Aug 27 07 12:15 PM Reply Quote More My Recent Posts	The "surprise ending," that the Yeti can be more human than we woulda thunk, are plenty wily, may predate Nigel Kneale's "The Creature"/THE ABOMINABLE SNOWMAN. Unlike Kneale's creatures, however, the ones in MAN BEAST want to start mating with human women and eventually get even closer to human so they can finally get out of those damn snowy mountains -- which is also kinda ahead of its time plot-wise. You have to root around quite a bit, but there's some pretty darn interesting stuff in the movie.

Aug 29 07 5:15 PM Reply Quote More My Recent Posts	MAN BEAST is more interesting, and the pacing better, than SNOW CREATURE. At least MAN BEAST has great, snowy exteriors to look at -- in the stock footage and Warren's new footage. SNOW CREATURE has storerooms, offices and a sewer!

Then, for a suprising variation, in other shots he backs away from the camera. And no, these aren't the same shots, only reversed. SNOW CREATURE is marginally more like a "real" movie, but MAN BEAST is--at least in comparison to SNOW CREATURE, though not really otherwise--a bit more fun.
