Mar 4 09 11:12 PM Reply Quote More My Recent Posts	Not exactly having anything to do with TEENAGE WEREWOLF, but I just finished watching an episode of Cheyenne on Encore Western channel that had John Howard in the cast (he was the werewolf in UNDYING MONSTER), the original story was written by George WaGGner of THE WOLF MAN fame (Waggner's name was spelled with two capital G's in his last name on his TV credits) and the screenplay was by Richard Matheson (who, as far as I know, has never written anything about werewolves - but is one of my favorite authors)!

Mar 5 09 12:35 PM Reply Quote More My Recent Posts	I think George Waggner later said he deliberately made it "WaGGner" on all his film credits so people would spell it right, but that never occurs in the old Universals. I thought it was a gag affectation that first started on Batman when he directed the Vincent Price "EGGhead" episodes. Is it really that way on anything previous to that?

EDIT: Did a quick cheat on IMDB to see if I was nuts or not; actually the first listing for that spelling is a 1956 episode of SCREEN DIRECTOR'S PLAYHOUSE, "The Sword of Villon." (Which a friend of mine used to have a Super 8 or 16mm print of.) Looks like the format of the name kept going from one version to the other, depending on what he was working on.

Mar 5 09 4:29 PM Reply Quote More My Recent Posts	With the exception of footage from TEENAGE WEREWOLF appearing in HOW TO MAKE A MONSTER, I don't think Michael Landon and Gary Clarke ever actually appeared together in any movie or TV episode. Compilations of scenes from IWATW and HTMAM in documentaries like the WOLFMAN CHRONICLES don't count. Clarke did appear with Yvonne Lime in DRAGSTRIP RIOT however.

Mar 6 09 2:41 PM Reply Quote More My Recent Posts	An off-topic comment about Don Glut's mother, Julia. She's an amazing woman. Don is an only child; his father (in the Air Force) was killed in combat not long after Don was born, and his mother raised him all by herself. Don tells me his home was where all his friends gathered; his mother always welcomed them. She welcomed me and Beverly, too, when we stayed at the Glut home in Chicago for a Worldcon some years back. I made dinner for her here once, and we always saw her when she came to Los Angeles. She's stayed in touch, too--she called me in the hospital when I had my heart surgery in 2002. She's clever and witty, great fun to be around, as anyone can testify who's watched Don's DVD of his amateur movies. But she is over 90, I think, and has had a long, well-lived life. Three cheers for Julia Glut.

Only thing I ask is for the jacket to be a maroon color like in the lobby cards for both I WAS A TEENAGE WEREWOLF and HOW TO MAKE A MONSTER's teen werewolf.
