Thanks everyone. On the actual day my present to myself was taking my daughter, who is visiting from Oregon while her sister trades places and visits in
Oregon, to the zoo. We had a lot of fun. Really, though, this whole week and next week are like a super birthday celebration. While only thirteen, my
daughter turns out to be a big movie nut. So, every night we're having movie marathons. I'm posting about it in the "What Have You Watched
Lately?" folder and will probably duplicate the posts in the "Movie Nights" folder. Couldn't be sweeter.

I miss the filmgroup meetings we used to have... Yeah, those were the good old days. But things change. Old Sam (the Filmgroup Sam, not FXRH) still drops in the store frequently. And, of course, I work with Tracy so I see him several days a week. |

Arch Stanton just told me about this thread. Thanks for the birthday wishes! I got a surprise birthday present from my former employer... will be going back to
work (contract software engineer) in a couple of weeks after a year of retirement. I've enjoyed the year off immensely, but I have some heavy-duty expenses
coming up soon with my son's wedding, and it will be nice to supplement my pension.
