According to The Digital Bits, Paramount will be releasing the first season of ONE STEP BEYOND on DVD on September 15. A little surprising considering all the public domain releases out there--unless Paramount has some other series called ONE STEP BEYOND I'm not familiar with.

Each series has their own merits. The "Outer Limits" is Sci-Fi, "Twilight Zone" is fiction working on one's sense and sensibilities -
sometimes sci-fi or occult, mostly not. "One Step Beyond" are more along the lines of TZ but based on real incidents mostly supernatural.
One has to realize that these are dated shows and have to be in the proper frame of mind to view them. Like watching I Love Lucy versus Will and Grace. If in doubt, you can always pick up the Mill Creek 50-episode set or similar just to see what it is about then if you like it, order the official release. I think there are even episodes online to view or download for free at the Prelinger Archives? Eric

I think my problem with The Outer Limits was that for an anthology show, too many episodes felt too similar to each other. I also dislike the 2nd series theme
tune. Great monsters though.

Wich2, I agree with you regarding the quality - some of them have scratches throughout the whole ep, and a couple looked almost out of focus. I think I'll
get the new 1st season set at least so I can see so many that I'm currently missing.
