The nightmare becomes all too real. Full Recap Betty Anderson ( Elinor Donahue) is going through a phase where she thinks selfishness is the sole motivator in people's lives. "The only reason we do good deeds is because it makes us feel good" she tells her parents , Jim ( Robert Young) & Margaret (Jane Wyatt). The mail runs & they get a letter saying Jim has won "Springfield's Most Honest Man" Contest. Their son, Bud (Billy Gray) says he wishes they had won a new car. The doorbell rings. It's a Mr. Nick Beal here to deliver prizes to the family of Springfield's most honest man. He has a new car for Bud ! Each member of the family gets something they have always wanted ! Margaret gets membership in an exclusive Springfield Women's Club. Little sister, Kathy (Lauren Chaffen) gets a pair of roller-skates. All of the family leave to try out their new prizes, leaving Jim & Betty alone with Mr. Beal. Mr. Beal asks Robert Young To sign a contract selling his soul over to Mr. Beal. Mr. Beal insinuates that something might happen to the Anderson family if Robert Young doesn't sign the contract ( Cathy might rollerskate right in front of Bud's new car!) Betty watches her father sign the contract in BLOOD , then he places the contract within the pages of the family Bible!! "Give me my contract!" says Nick Beal. "If you want it, come & get it." says Robert Young, holding out the Bible. Nick Beal lets the Bible fall on the floor. "Give me my contract." he orders Betty. "Your Kind doesn't like this Book, do they ? We have nothing to fear from your kind as long as we live by this Book!" Robert Young says & uses the Bible to drive Mr. Beal from the house. Then Betty wakes up !! It was all a dream! The mail is delivered & Jim Anderson has won Springfield's Most Honest Man Contest !! The doorbell rings & It's Ray Milland !! Betty slams the door in his face & tells her father she will explain later. The last scene is Ray Milland standing beside the Anderson mailbox, he has a sinister smile on his face. He pulls out his Springfield address book & goes on to the next name on the list.

This is very embarrassing, but I can't remember which one of you was so kind as to send me that DVDR of ALIAS NICK BEAL. But whoever it was, many, many thanks. It arrived yesterday and I watched it last night. I really enjoy this movie. Thanks again, Don
