original Monster Kids from the 1970s, passed away
peacefully last night in LA.
Delbert started out in Baltimore as one of the Baltimore
area based horror memorabilia collectors (known
affectionally as "The Baltimore Boys," and he, Don
Leifert, Larry Springer, Rick Neff and I formed a
circle of friends who traded lobby cards and posters
and showed off our collection to one another.
Delbert wrote for MIDNIGHT MARQUEE and also
published a horror movie magazine price guide, which
was nicely designed and illustrated.
I have no details on his death (Scott MacQueen is the
main source here) but I do know that he was a good
friend and a Monster Kid of the highest degree.
His unfulfilled lifelong dream was to open a horror
themed restaurant called FRANK 'N' STEIN.
