Oct 4 05 11:08 AM Reply Quote More My Recent Posts	A buddy of mine was just in Best Buy and was talking with one of the blue shirts working there, who happenes to be a classic horror fan, and he said a new Chaney boxed set is coming out from Turner Classics featuring: He Who Gets Slapped, Tell it to the Marines, both versions of The Unholy Three and West of Zanzibar. I checked amazon and some other sites and came up Harry Earles (short). Have any of you guys heard about this??? "Supernatural perhaps...baloney, perhaps not!"

Oct 4 05 2:22 PM Reply Quote More My Recent Posts	Rumors say another set will be released in 2006 or 2007. The titles you mentioned would be great BUT.... Doubtful for release at one time. Like the first set, Warner threw on a rare titles (ACE OF HEARTS) along with the popular stuff. I doubt Warner would release all the popular titles on one set because that would mean they might have to release a set of rare stuff that might not sell as well without a bigger title on there. Of course, perhaps Warner doesn't care and they just want to get these out there. With the titles you mentioned it certainly would be one of the biggest releases of the year.

This is worth seeing if only for the bizarre sight of Chaney literally beating himself up (all for the benefit of people who can't see what's going on because he's in a locked room!). The plot reminds me a bit of BOWERY AT MIDNIGHT and has Chaney playing a master jewel thief who also masquerades as a kindly (but crippled) proprietor of a Limehouse mission. He's able to pull this off by pretending the two are twin brothers. How he could have set all this up would make a great prequel.

Nov 1 05 2:18 AM Reply Quote More My Recent Posts	I remember seeing the talkie version of "The Unholy Three" on late night TV in New York City when I was twelve or thirteen (25 years ago) and it made a really strong impression on me. Chaney was just terrific and he was as much a master at disguising his voice as he was with his appearance. If i recall, he uses several different voices in the film. I am really looking forward to seeing this one again.
