Eileen's photos are the best document of the weekend I've seen (as they are every year) and J's videos give a tantalizing taste of what went on.
It seems trite to say this was the best Rondo ceremony, Old Dark Clubhouse and Wonderfest ever, but that's the absolute truth. All three get better every
year. Lisa and I had a fantastic time and once again we thank everyone whose hard work and simple friendship made it happen. In the four years we've been
attending, the Rondos have gone from a low-key affair to a rollicking and touching tour de force, thanks primarily to the efforts of David Colton and the
momentum and credibility of the Awards themselves. Joe Moe's acceptance speech was one of the most moving things I have ever been a part of.
Forrest J. Ackerman Shall Not Die! The amount of labor and love Gary Prange puts into the Old Dark Clubhouse every year is simply staggering. This year's Captain Company theme rendered speechless everyone who entered. Thanks so much, Gary. And finally a big thanks to Donny Waddell and Dave Conover for making the "Classic Horror" side of the Wonderfest the success it is. It was great to spend time with Tim and Donna Lucas, Jim and Marian Clatterbaugh, Joe Busam, David and Eileen Colton, Nurse Moan-Eek, Gary Prange, Bob Burns, Frank Dietz, David Schow, Mike 'precode' Schlesinger, Kerry Gammill (briefly), and Zombie Dad and Mom "off the boards". God only knows who I'm leaving out, but I had fun with you too. And, hey, I got to see my wife have a flyswatter duel with Max The Drunken Severed Head in the Old Dark Clubhouse!

Great to see you and Lisa too, Chris! I'd been wanting to visit the Clubhouse for a long time. This was the first time we stayed over Saturday night so
we were able to get there. Gary, we love what you did to the place!!!

D'Oh! Correction has been made. That's what you get for typing while excited. Please assure Marian that I really do know her name. If I could, I
would give her a bouquet of Pixie Stix in apology!

Really remarkable photos by Eileen. I missed a lot (including the Rondo ceremony) by not being there Saturday but the pictures and videos help soften the blow
some.

Thanx to J Sorrels for these terrific videos.
It does appear the finale, including the Hall of Fame and Joe Moe happened after batteries ran out, but if anyone does have video please let us know! And let us know here what you think of the videos, the speeches and the rest. david |

We recorded the whole program in HD, but our battery began to run out during David J. Schow's surprise presentation. Have everything right up to his
announcing David Colton as winner of the Coltondo. Then I turned the camera back on when Donna was announced as the recipient of the Donndo and got her funny
acceptance speech. So... just about everything but Taraco's acceptance and the photo op finale. I really wanted to save some power to snap some stills of
the winner assembly, and fortunately did get a few before all power was drained.

No one I've met in The Old Dark Clubhouse needs an excuse to booze it up.
