I think Ed Wood should have a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. His movies are still watched and enjoyed today decades after many others have been
forgotten, and he symbolizes what in large part Hollywood is all about: star-struck ambition, a desire to lose oneself in fantasy mixed with delusional
grandiosity. And most of all, failure-- abysmal, ego-crushing rejection and self-destruction, out of which came art with a weird genuineness to it. I know
that the memorial plaques that adorn the Boulevard of Broken Dreams are bought and paid for nowadays, but someone should do the ghost of Ed Wood a favor and
recognise him in a way cheesy enough for him to have related to.
