I see nothing in Ron's announcement to indicate that they are real DVDs and not DVD-Rs.
The quality of these DVDs (and I forgot to mention these are only DVDs) are as good as anything you would expect the studio to release. They will be in their proper aspect ratio, 16x9, and with the necessary audio codecs. Nothing will suffer when it comes to presentation quality

The quality of these DVDs are what you would expect from a studio like WB. They are not DVD-Rs being slapped in an envelope. These are high quality releases in their proper aspect ratio and manufactured to normal studio standards. The studio intends to release thousands more of these titles

By the time I looked, I didn't see They Only Kill Their Masters. Notice that there is also a place to vote for other films under consideration. I'm a Joel McCrea fan, so Wichita looks especially appealing. But as far as I'm concerned, On Borrowed Time is the real prize here ... Terry Pace
