Would you still say that if Adam, Danny and Allison end up in the bottom three next week? And my question about who Adam looks like? I think he's a dead ringer for Elvis. I don't recall Elvis ever wearing eyeliner. If he did he'd be called "the Queen" instead of "the King". And, how nice would it be to see the British gal that wowed the judges on their talent show during the finale this year? I'd love to see Susan Boyle do the song she sang on American Idol. I've watched that clip numerous times already. It gives me chills eveytime! Just astonishing really. In the seven odd years I've watched American Idol NO ONE performance has come close to affecting me like that. Maybe the producers should really consider allowing anyone (no matter how old) to compete next year. How much more interesting the show would become if they lifted the age restrictions. And now, Disco Week??? Yeah, I know. There was a reason Disco died a quick death. Why, oh why do they insist on forcing this down our throats every year? I'm not looking forward to this train wreck.

Most guys have it all figured out, as odd as it might be, nothing drives the girls as crazy as a guy with make-up on. Take two guy, one who looks like a pro-wrestler, and one who looks like Mike Monroe from Hanoi Rocks. Place them side by side. Guess which one will get the most girls going up to him. All the girls love a Rock Star. Well, to each his own I guess. In my old neighborhood it didn't matter if you were gay or straight -- if you wore makeup you were gonna get your ass kicked. My brother Mike once borrowed my moms wig to dress up as a Beatle for Halloween. He made it as far as the corner... That is a pretty good call on the Elvis. If you ask me Adam looks more like Theda Bara than ol swivile hips. But then nobody asked me.

Of the three that you mentioned I don't really think that Allison is all that great. She deserved to be in the bottom three this week. But it's to the point this year that I'm not voting for any of the contestants. There are three that I would like to see go and one that I'm ambivalent about. Past that any of the remaining three would be fine in my book. But, I do think that the contestant that would be most successful in today's music industry would be Adam. It all goes back to personal tastes. I don't think Allison is a better "singer" than Adam or or Danny. I just prefer her as a performer to them and all the rest. Take in the account that she is only 16 and still evolving. I think she has the potential to be something special in a few more years, and like I've said before she is the only Idol contestant in all the years watching that I'd actually go out and buy her CD. And, if you did put Elvis in eyeliner he'd look just like Adam. And, if Elvis were just starting today how do you know he wouldn't be wearing eyeliner and nailpolish? One of Elvis' earliest live performances was at my old high school, Brooklyn High School in Brooklyn, Ohio. He appeared there on a bill with Pat Boone. When I was in high school a couple of decades later the teachers that had been around in the 1950's talked about how nobody knew what to think about Elvis because he was dressed so outlandishly in a bright gold sequined suit. The point is that Adam's makeup isn't anything that outlandish. Cool story about Elvis. I wonder how he'd do on Idol (especially Disco Week?). He'd probably get voted off mid-season because people would say he's just a One Trick Pony. "All he does is rock n roll!" Never said Adam was outlandish. He hasn't come out in a KISS outfit and makeup...yet. >I< (meaning me, myself and I) find him creepy looking. Just a personal opinion that shouldn't mean anything to anyone but me. Dudes wearing eyeliner just creeps me out. I LOVE Little Richard, but he creeps me out too! Maybe I saw A Clockwork Orange at too young an age and it did some emotional damage on my psyche?
