As I watched last night I leaned over and asked more my daughter who the hell Lady GaGa was? Even she (who is far more hip to modern singers than I) didn't know. I was hoping the camera would give us a glimpse of Simon's face as she was performing. I'm sure is expression would have matched the WTF? one plastered on mine. I did enjoy David Cook's new single. Hope it does well for him. So long Megan. Fly away home ("Caw. Caw!"). The girls got picked off pretty early this season. I'm guessing that the vast majority of voters are women and they're overwhelmingly voting for the cute guys. Red-headed Allie is probably next. Pity, because I really like her. 'Lil Rounds should last til the final weeks. I don't think she's particularly good, but being the only one of color left, she should carry over the ethnic vote. Once all the girls are gone will the male viewership drop off sharply? Cromwell

I think that is going to hurt her over the next couple of weeks. I see what you mean. That dress she wore on Tuesday night didn't do her butt any favors. Cap, do you think the weight issue is why Allison isn't doing as well? She is cute, but a little chunky. I got the impression that Megan's cawing was an inside joke between her and Allison. Allison aped her when she landed in the bottom three. I also thought it was interesting that part of a segment was spent on getting the contestants to ham it up with each other and do impressions of each other. I think that the producers realize that none of the contestants is exhibiting a lot of personality and they wanted to showcase a little bit of monkey business between the contestants. I agree. The "impression" bit did come off a bit forced, but I did get it was a inside "Caw" joke when Allison did it for Megan. It is good to see them at least trying to loosen up onstage, but they need not try so hard. Just let it happen.

Having Frankie Avalon appear unannounced was a real nice surprise. Was it me or has he morphed in William Shatner? Scott's departure was no loss in my eyes. Nice guy, but nothing special vocally.
Kelly Pickler's number was also veeeery pitchy. Lucky for her she wasn't being judged.
