I would be a great injustice to all if Megan is not given the boot tonight. He looks can only get her so far. She has consistently given awkward, horrendous performances weekly, Adam cleaned up real nice and is clearly the most original performer of the group. It was a wise move on his part to drop the creepy eye-liner and helmet hairdo. Turns out he's a good looking guy, and may now sway more of the soccer mom votes his way. I love 16-year old Allison, but she should get rid of that shocking pink hair color. Ever notice how the girls with pink hair (no matter how well they sing) seems to always get the hook early on in American Idol? The rest were adequate, but nobody hit it out of the Motown ballpark.
I still disagree with my pal CaptainMarvel in that I'm just not seeing any real personality from this group. They are nice kids, but all kind of boring,,,to me anyway. Except for Danny that is. Cromwell

And, Heatwave is one of the few times I've actually been able to match a song with a contestant. Like I said, I had told Cheryle that Lil should sing Heatwave. Then when Ryan teased her song before going to commercial he said she was going to "heat things up." Like a couple of weeks ago when I said that a contestant didn't punch the hook on Tears of Jupiter, Lil was proficient with the song and hit the notes, but she was never "in the pocket" with it. Matt was in the pocket. Allison was in the pocket. I even think Danny was in the pocket. It's hard to explain what that means, but it's when the singer and the music and the performance all just blend together effortlessly. The example of this from last season that sticks out in my mind was the night that Chekezie sang I Just Saw a Face on Beatles night. He grabbed that song by the throat and never let it go. Having said that, I wish I could do what Megan did, let alone what Lil did. Being an armchair quarterback is a bit much when you're as tone deaf as I am. Adam's pop occurred right out of the gate with "People say I'm the life of the party." People, not party. Looking forward to seeing the group number and Smokey tonight!

Hey guys! Well, I wouldn't have predicted Matt in the bottom three, but the good Captain's theory that he and Danny are competing for a similar demographic does make a lot of sense... The fact that Megan evaded the bottom three speaks volumes...I never expected her to be eliminated, but SHEESH, but after her Wednesday's performance, unless she clubs a baby seal onstage, it appears she may be safe for another three to four weeks... Hey Cap! I also noticed the group number was (blatantly)pre-recorded. I don't think every one has been, but I have noticed a few in the past. Bryan

Man, I wasn't agreeing with the judges at all last night. I actually thought Megan had a pretty good night (at least compared to her past few performances), but it seems clear they want her off the show. I didn't think Anoop was that bad either, and was surprised by all negative critiques he got. Danny was good, but I didn't think his performance was as great as the judges seemed to think. Maybe not fair to say, but perhaps he got some pity praise in light of his grandfather dying a few days earlier.
I hated Adam's song choice, but "he worked it out".
The blind kid (Jeez, I keep forgetting his name -- much like his performances) sang that Billy Joel number in a very uninteresting, bland way. Again, I was surprised by the judges lavishing praise on him. I thought for sure he was gonna get beat up a bit.
Allison rocked the house once again, but yeah, what the hell was she thinking with that outfit? I really hope she lasts, but she's the only one I look forward to hearing. I'd like to hear how she'd handle a tender ballad next week.
As for the others guys, good or bad I barely remember them or what they sang. I find them totally forgetable. I'm guessing the bottom three will be Anoop (but he won't go), Megan (uh-oh!), and...? Cromwell
