Perhaps I'll get it later, decided to go for Judex at the moment. Thanks for the link to the article which lead me to FA. Amazon.ca is always out of stock on these.

May 21 11 1:55 PM Reply Quote More My Recent Posts	Flicker Alley only put out a title here and there, but everything they do, they do well. They get most of what they get from either the Blackhawk Films Collection or the French company, Lobster Films. The Melies box is amazing, almost overwhelming. If you would have told me that in the waning years of DVD that someone would step up to the plate and release the entire available catalog of Melies films, I'd a told you you were crazy. The supplementary DVD is a must if you have the box, it also has a lot of choice material. I commend Flicker Alley for responding to their customers and releasing what remains of Melies films. Since Melies destroyed most of his originals, it's incredible that so many exist on film and paper-prints.

These were done on paper prints and , with "modern" technology, the paper prints have been converted back to viewable film. True, but a paper-print of LAM is better than no print at all. Though I'd think it would be pretty unlikely that paper prints of feature films would be any more cared for than film itself.

I doubt anyone even ever unspooled the odd things!
