MJ Simpson wrote: One surprising omission, which I'm definitely writing in for Best TV, is Dead Set, the quite brilliant zombies-invade-the-Big-Brother-house mini-series from last October. I know it's not been widely seen outside the UK, but if Who and Torchwood can get nominated (both of which were good but no really stand-out superlative) then Dead Set deserves at least one vote.

Am I allowed to vote for myself?

Allow the artists to submit their work and be judged and then present the nominees. The Best Cover category includes too many factors that have to be considered from layout to graphic design, and some of the covers have little art to them. I love Mark's cover as it a wonderful homage to the Hammer Era that we love and I was quite surprised that an EC homage was chosen to represent a magazine about Hammer. It would be nice to see art being presented for arts sake and not subject to the foolish one entry per title rule.

It's tough! Gil

I wish I had seen this before I cast my ballot because those two and their run on Swamp Thing constitute one of my favorite comic serieses of all time. The trades are now being collected in hardback, which they deserve in such a big way. Can I still write them in?

It's crappy that it takes death to bring a name up for a Rondo-Nom, but I nominate Lux Interior (of The Cramps) to the Hall of Fame. Lux passed away on the morning of February 4th, 2009. He was a monster-kid through and through. He grew up in the Cleveland area, watching Ghoulardi, listening to the Mad Daddy, and helped spawn punk in NYC. He wrote songs like Human Fly, Creature From The Black Leather Lagoon, I Was A Teenage Werewolf, and countless other classics. The Ramones asked him and The Cramps if they could cover Surfin' Bird after The Cramps had been playing it for a year or two. Lux turned 62 in October 2008, so he's part of the generation that many people here belong to.
So, can I hear a "Here! Here!" for Lux Interior to the Hall of Fame?
