Oh well, it can't be as horrid an experience as The Spirit was.

Is there a movie that's come out in the past 10-years with a soundtrack you like???

But I have to say that too many genre films are cheapened by rock/rap/metal/punk/etc. scores.

There was a two-parter called "Invasion From Outer Space" that drifted dangerously close to Adam West BATMAN territory. I don't know if that might have been written by BATMAN's Lorenzo Semple Jr. or not. (He did do a two-parter for the series called "Beautiful Dreamer.")

I don't think its meant to be camp, that story. It's very wooden.

(And this from a guy who doesn't mind a little head-banging.) If the film is contemporary or futuristic, I can see using contemporary or experimental music. But if you're doing a period piece, juxtaposing rap or rock with the setting just comes across as a cheap ploy to peddle a few extra soundtrack CDs. (And then there was that metal rendition of the William Tell Overture used in the Warner Bros. LONE RANGER tv movie of a few years back, but there were so many things wrong with that production that the music was the least of its problems.)
