The scenes they used for the Mythbusters episode looked horrible. Then for the last 3 week they have been hammering the commercial showing the incredibly cliche singing while driving scene. It just looks horrible.

Jan 15 11 11:06 AM Reply Quote More My Recent Posts	I usually wait to read more but actually ran out and saw TGH yesterday. Going in with very low expectation after reading the paper made it easy to accept and enjoy the good parts of the movie. Yes I had fun, no it's not going to rate very well. The car was beautiful, I think it could take out the batmobile for best movie car. The CGI was good and wasn't too dominant, so it didn't ruin anything, Kato was really good, probably the star. Cameron Diaz has incredible eyes. Rogan plays the wrong character though. He tries to be like Bruce Willis in Moonlighting, a snappy answer smartalec but it didn't click as TGH. The music was pretty good overall. It was appropriate or better, save the rap stuff that was just the new trendy requirement satisfied. TGH had a predictablity to it, that well, I'll stay positive here. I had fun. I pretty much had to see it to satisfy my inner 10 yr old, but as an adult with higher expectations and spending money, I'm naturally more difficult to please.

It just looks horrible. You said it. I don't usually say you can definitively judge a movie by its trailer, but I hate everything I've seen of this jokefest. I wouldn't be caught dead seeing it.

If you've seen the trailer then you pretty much have seen the movie. Unfortunately. Cool use of the original Green Hornet music at the end. Maybe I was just glad it was over.... "I saw what I saw when I saw it!"

Jan 15 11 2:47 PM Reply Quote More My Recent Posts	I walked in after seeing The King's Speech (a really good movie) and was surprised The Green Hornet was not as bad as I expected, but I had very, VERY low expectations. The car was great, Cameron Diaz is still gorgeous (if wasted in the movie) and some of the action was not bad. As a free time waster, I've seen worse, but I would not recommend spending your hard earned cash on The Green Hornet.

Jan 15 11 6:23 PM Reply Quote More My Recent Posts	saw it last night, it was fun, disagree about Cameron Diaz though, still a Hot body but she's aging fast, looked way to old for the 2 male leads. I know next to nothing about the Green Hornet, I knew he was a Super-hero and that he had a show but I never watched it or listened to the radio show so I have no idea if it stayed true to the character, but the movie was pretty funny and kept me entertained a solid 6.5 out of 10 in MHO Kess

Expecting some enthusiasm for TGH, I asked him about it and he all but yawned because TGH was never a comic book. Evidently the other superhero movies have based on comic book characters. But then again, most comic books never made radio.

The set-up was a little too fast (but that's a problem with most modern action films), and the villain came off a little flat, but I laughed a lot during the second half of the film, I thought the car chases were great (and whatever CGI was used was never too obvious or distracting -- plenty of real, honest to god cars were destroyed), and the fight scenes were good. Although all that slow-mo, post-Matrix stuff they do in fights now gets on my nerves, I thought it was okay in this film. They did make a bit of dig on Diaz's age in the film: "Wow, you're 36? I didn't think you could be any older than 31. I'm not sure we can even hire anyone that old." Or something to that effect. I'd give it a B. It was fun, I'd probably watch it one more time.

FURY (soldier version), THE LONE RANGER (and TONTO), FLASH GORDON, BUCK ROGERS, BATMAN, and THE PHANTOM - those guys are "Heros" - but not really "Super." As far as I'm concerned, if Captain Action can turn into him, then The Green Hornet's a Super-Hero. He could turn into the Lone Ranger, but you'll never convice me that's a super-hero.
