More Classic Doctor Who toys coming next year |

For those interested, next year will see the release of several classic era Doctor Who Cybermen (also in the wave is a Cyberman from the Christmas Special).
Each figure comes with a part so you can build the center figure, the Tomb of the Cybermen Cybercontroller):
"The important question is not, are there aliens on other worlds? No. The important question is, do they have ray guns?"

What I want to know is how soon we will see more classic Doctor figures, particularly William Hartnell, Patrick Troughton, and Jon Pertwee.

Indeed!!! Though my favorite Doctor will always be Tom Baker, I have a real fondness fo Pertwee's incarnation... I think I would have to buy his figurine
and place it prominently.

I think Pertwee, McGann, and McCoy are on tap for Wave 2 of the classic line (the Cybermen are a separate wave); no word on Hartnell or Troughton yet, though.
Those are definite must-haves for me.

Forcing us to buy a new series figure, darn it! Well since Newbury Comics only got 3/4 of the classic figures anyway it's a moot point for me. Still I wish
we had the David Banks Cyberleader instead.
If it were my call Wave 2 would be The 3rd Doctor - Season 7 outfit with cape The 7th Doctor - Season 25 outfit The 8th Doctor - Er um well there's not much choice is there? The Master from Terror of the Autons Davros from Genesis of the Daleks Silurian from Doctor Who and the Silurians Commander Linx Sutekh All 8 figures have a part of the Build a Yeti (from Web of Fear) So they have the rights to the Fox movie and can make figures based on it? |

I'm not sure of the rights issue, but the 8th has been featured on tons of books, audios, in comic strips, etc., so I imagine it might be a situation where
the BBC has the rights to the image of the character, while the film itself is in rights hell.

I remember when it was still difficult to find Who toys; I still have my Dapol Pertwee figure. I've really been enjoying the new series of figures, and I
am very much up for a new 3. I was never much for the first two and really didn't like McGann. All of my other favs were in the first wave, so a pertwee is
just about all I would be getting. The real question is what color suit? I always prefered him in green rather than maroon. (then again, I always prefered him
with Sarah Jane to Jo grant...well I prefered anyone to Jo.)
