Jul 13 12 3:43 PM Reply Quote More My Recent Posts	I too spoke to Michael Hoey years ago, for my never-ending book project (which includes a chapter on Navy Vs), and he also told me horror stories about the execs messing with his project. It was actually scary learning how people with that much power are so absolutely clueless about even the most elementary aspects of film-making. Interesting enough, the pressbook synopsis ends after the Molotov cocktail session and Beacham wondering aloud if the threat has indeed ended. Makes me conjecture the p-b was written based on the version Hoey wanted to do, since what follows it is primarily the ridiculous Pierce material that turned it from a serious horror/sci-fi film to a drive-in flick. /\ /\/\ \ \ / \ / \/\/ \ visit www.ManorOnMovies.com A new concept in new concepts

I've already made my case for the other actress, so see no use in belaboring the point further. Maybe we could start another topic for worst outfit on an actress in a sci fi film. Probably more constructive and positive to go with best costume on an actress, I suppose. But not as funny.

Jan 7 13 11:04 PM Reply Quote More My Recent Posts	I rather enjoyed this film, not as bad as Leonard Maltin implies. At first glance, it certainly looks like a 50s throwback like its co-feature WOMEN OF THE PREHISTORIC PLANET, but the scene where Billy Gray gets his arm torn off remains quite an eye opener. There weren't enough of the monsters of course, so keeping the mystery going so long without a proper payoff was a disappointment. So much of it seemed to go right for the budgetary concerns that writer/director Michael A. Hoey and cinematographer Stanley Cortez are deserving of kudos of making something better out of the final product. Maltin lists the running time as 90 minutes, but mine is 85.
