Also, which edit is this? The rescored US theatrical release, which got an anamorphic DVD in Germany, or the longer cut?

Maybe a good transfer would help.

I don't need another copy of Body Snatchers or Alien (geeze, how many versions of Alien do I have now? 4? 5?), but I'll spring for the box for an anamophic Lifeforce... That movie is just so damned cool...

I supect the poster is confusing "anamorphic" with "2.35 letterbox." MGM doesn't have an NTSC 16 x 9 transfer of the film to put on a DVD.
