Should this perhaps be a "sticky" CHFB thread so folks can easily find it? Forgot to mention, SONG OF FREEDOM is available on DVD (Region 1) from Kino. I think you can also highlight DICK BARTON - SPECIAL AGENT and DICK BARTON AT BAY as available on DVD in the UK (PAL/Region 2). LIFE WITH THE LYONS and THE LYONS IN PARIS are available in the UK on a single DVD (PAL/Region 2), but it's OOP and going for £40+, so I don't know if they should be highlighted or not THE MAN WHO COULD CHEAT DEATH could use a Blu-Ray highlight. SHE is currently available as a Warner Archives on-demand DVD-R. The DVD of WHEN DINOSAURS RULED THE EARTH + MOON ZERO TWO was pulled soon after release and is very expensive ($90+). Also, Wham! USA is the full name of the distributor of some of these films, including FURTHER UP THE CREEK and the BUSES films - I've rented two or three of these through Netflix. Not DVD, but... HYSTERIA was issued full-screen by MGM on NTSC VHS, and used copies are fairly cheap. Also, Anchor Bay released A CHALLENGE FOR ROBIN HOOD in 1.66:1 widescreen on VHS (never on DVD, for some reason) and it's available fairly cheap and is a fun movie to boot.

I was already checking through Zeta Minor, plus other sources, then found your updates when that was done. Your updates were also useful, and are incorporated. Thanks. I don't think it's important enough to list the distributors or regions, so I won't unless pressed. At this point, I'll leave it to the group to post further updates.... And go do some shopping. On Sept. 12th Icon Home Entertainment is releasing in the UK dvds of all 3 Dick Barton movies, X The Unknown, Captain Kronos, The Abominable Snowman & the Donlevy Quatermass movies(in a two disc collection). When is someone going to take the trouble to sort out release deals for all the existing Hammer that still hasn't been issued on DVD? The recent publication of Cloudburst (annoying as the limited release was) was cause for excitement. The 3rd or 4th release of Quatermass Xperiment is not. Bah, humbug!

I'm missing two of the Quatermass & all three Dick Barton DVDs, and some are pretty expensive from the scalpers. I'd also like to upgrade a few to better prints, especially my PD copy of The Satanic Rites of Dracula. I can't be the only one in this situation, and there's nothing wrong with companies going for the low hanging fruit. In the past few years we got 3 "Icons of" boxes, the noir set, and 4 MODs, which makes 30 films. We're also seeing the first Blu-Rays. It seems like happy days for Hammer Films fans. Just synched my personal list with the online one and added a few films that were missing, such as Who Killed Van Loon. May as well list the whole catalog. Changed my mind about this. I won't do a dashboard like in the Universal forum. I started, but there's too many different questions about the films, different versions, who directed, and what ifs, so pointing to one thread would just hide other interesting threads. The style of the production maybe leaves a bit to be desired (just my opinion, of course), but it's a pretty good overview of Hammer's history, and has lots of exclusive interview footage.

Added links for most of the titles--most meaning where I could decipher that there was a thread talking about the movie in general. Sometimes, there's 6 of them. Couldn't just link the titles because links get colored a certain color (red by me) and that interferes with the color coding. Thanks. Fanex added. Guide to Resources on CHFB

And :- Hammer Horror: A Fan's Guide (2008) http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1391889/ Advertised as a 'retail' DVD, but seems to be a 'made on demand' DVD-R (the disc I bought from Amazon UK certainly was...)

One of the reasons I posted that list is because I'm having trouble keeping track of the new stuff. So, while it's not entirely clear to me, it seems like all the actually new DVD releases in region 1 are the MODs. But there do seem to be some Blu-Rays coming. Both ZM and Roobarb's are in the process of moving servers at the moment (that's what ZM's off-line and some functionality on the forum is not quite right at the moment).
