I'm trying to find the name of a TV movie, without much to go on. It came on late night TV in about June of 1978, but wasn't necessarily a rerun, since
this wasn't so much later than those TV movies that would premiere late at night, like the Dan Curtis ones. And also like the Dan Curtis ones and others,
it was on videotape not film.
Anyway, it had three or so teenagers, whose TV (or earlier computer screen?) opened one of those "doors to another dimension," which put them in danger from some secret society or something, in the other world. One of them was a semicomical "nerdy" character with glasses. In the one scene I can think of, he was drawn into the other world, and when the other characters turned on the screen, they saw him being dragged away by the secret society, or whatever it was.
Can anyone identifiy it from that small description?
