I believe the last official 3D release was on laserdisc. The Digital Bits cover art gallery has this one on sale Sept 30th, from 'Cheezy Flicks'. The cover mentions 3D, so hopefully the dream sequences can be properly appreciated. Has anyone seen anything else released by this company? Most of the film is pretty talky. But the dream sequences contain some startling, nightmareish imagery and impressively effective 3D photography. Black Hole DVD Reviews

(09/10/08 6:13 AM) Reply Quote More My Recent Posts Message Me Connection Blocking Invite	Most everyone here at CHFB that has dealt with Cheezy Flicks product agrees that Cheezy Flicks is a bootleg operation. I own the Cheezy Flicks version of Kiss Meets The Phantom Of The Park and the picture quality is awful. That was the last time I bought one of their boots. For some reason, Amazon allows Cheezy Flicks to sell their wares on their website. Let the buyer beware.

(09/10/08 8:32 AM) Reply Quote More My Recent Posts Message Me Connection Blocking Invite	Yup, Cheezy Flicks is a DVD-R bootleg company who also butchers the studio credit intros with their own. In the past you could pick up most all their titles new for $4.99 but see this one is $12.95 so wonder if it is a "legit" release? I also thought they were run out of town because of their practices but was thinking of setting up shop out of the country? I have a couple of their discs including "Red Planet Mars", "The Headless Ghost", "Battle of the Worlds" and "Dracula vs. Frankenstein". The first two are ok quality while Battle of the Worlds is absolutely a total waste (the Alpha version is 500% better) while Drac vs Frank is washed out color wise. As mentioned, all have had their studio credits altered to play the background music but only show the Cheezy Flicks logo... a crying shame and sure they think will deter others copying their disc.... yeah right, like someone really wants to! (09/10/08 3:20 PM) Reply Quote More My Recent Posts Message Me Connection Blocking Invite	I Cheezy Flicks does press some disks (Velvet Vampire), but pressed or burned I don't want a DVD of the ancient LD transfer, or worse yet the VHS. The 3-D on this thing actually works well in anaglyph form, so a good mastering would be a lot of fun.

Many sequences shot at the Royal Ontario Museum in Toronto, which I've visited. I really liked the fact that the whole movie wasn't in 3D, merely some sequences... a neat gimmick and one which allowed your eyes a nice rest from time to time. I believe the star (Paul something) went on to have a large part on the soap Another World fro some time in the late 70's/early 80's, along with the redoubtable Hugh Marlowe! The best possible source they could probably get is the old Image laserdisc, but who knows if they even have that much technology? I fear that their "master" might be the really old Rhino VHS tape. I'd like those even if they were in two dimensions. And how cool would it be to own a mask like that?! I've seen similar masks using beads instead of whatever mosaic pieces were used to make the movie mask, but it just ain't the same. Whoever made that mask did a great job.
