As far as the 70's go (when I was watching), I remember Dolly Madison and McDonalds being the sponsors. Perhaps Coca Cola was the 60's sponsor?

The difference is obvious. The new one looks much better. I like my Halloween clear, not blurry.

For instance there is very little difference between the color of the leaves and grass, but on the new master the grass clearly has a mossy hue, and leaves are more distinctly autumnal brownish-orange and yellows. My guess is that these colors much more represent the original art than do those of the Paramount set.
You were right when you said the old disc has a vhs look, it really does.
